Sound Water Tours is locally owned and operated - you will be guided by someone that truly cares for the town and knows the best spots for whatever you're looking for - whether it's sightseeing, adventure, wildlife, or just capturing your next best shot. And you will also help support a small business...who doesn't love that?! We cater to your individual interests - here, we'll take the time to really appreciate the views at a slower pace, we are not tied down to a set route, and we will never have more than 6 passengers onboard. When you're onboard, you'll have the local experience - our goal is to provide the most exciting and safe journey.
OUR CREW
Hey, my name is Anthony Harris, and I am the owner and captain of Sound Water Tours. I was born and raised in Seward, Alaska and have been around the water since before I could walk. While having started out commercial fishing at 12 years old, it was only natural that I developed a lasting love for the water. After 16 years commercial fishing, I decided to start Sound Water Tours to be able to enjoy and share what Alaska has to offer. I want to give others the chance to experience the same awe induced by the wild of Alaska's coastal waters and wildlife. It is for everyone to enjoy.
THE STOIC
The Stoic is a 30-foot fiberglass Highliner boat with a slight walkaround deck plus a flybridge for even better viewing up top. The Stoic is a very comfortable boat with a large cabin offering plenty of room to spread out. The spacious back deck has a hard top roof for those rainy Alaskan days. Being a fiberglass boat makes her heavy, which provides stability especially when traveling. We like to think of her as a "little big" boat, meaning we have the speed to get places like the small boats, yet we also have the comfort of stability with extra viewing for our guests like the big boats.
